Terms of Service

Effective 2026-05-07

These Terms govern your use of Marellio (“the Service”). By creating an account or paying for a dossier, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What Marellio is

Marellio generates structured personality dossiers about a named subject from publicly available information. The dossier includes a DISC reading, behavioral predictions, communication-style notes, and a tailored playbook for a specific use case (sales call, networking, pre-meeting prep). It is informational analysis, not a background check, not a credit report, and not a certification of any kind.

2. What the dossier is not

Every dossier is a hypothesis assembled from public signals. The predictions are starting points to test in real interaction, not certified facts about the subject. We do not verify identity beyond public-record disambiguation, and we do not contact the subject to confirm anything. Use accordingly.

Marellio is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The Service must not be used as a factor in any decision covered by FCRA or analogous state laws — including employment, hiring, promotion, retention, lending, housing, insurance, or government-benefit eligibility. If you need a background check or a regulated personality assessment, use a certified provider.

3. Your account and payment

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials private. Pricing is per pull, charged through Stripe at checkout. If a pipeline run fails before delivery, the charge is refunded automatically. Successful dossiers are non-refundable once delivered.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, stalk, defame, or threaten any person.
  • Use a dossier as input to an FCRA-regulated decision (see Section 2).
  • Resell, syndicate, or republish a dossier as your own work or as certified analysis.
  • Submit a subject who has filed a takedown request with us, or attempt to evade the takedown gate by varying anchors.
  • Use the output to impersonate the subject, generate deepfakes, or otherwise deceive third parties.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract our prompts, weights, or proprietary methodology.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We will refund any pending unfulfilled pulls.

5. Subject rights and takedown

If you are a subject of a (potential) Marellio dossier and want to be excluded, file a request at marellio.com/takedown. Once recorded, the pipeline refuses any future pull matching your identity, and we will respond to your request within a reasonable period. See our Privacy Policy for the broader data-rights framework.

6. Intellectual property

The dossier text and the rendered PDF generated from your input are yours to use for the purpose described in your tailoring switch (e.g., to prepare for the meeting in question). The methodology, the software, the prompts, the brand, and any aggregate analytics are ours.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or any particular outcome from using the Service. The DISC reading and behavioral predictions are interpretive analysis, not measurement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marellio's total liability to you for any claim arising out of the Service is capped at the amount you paid Marellio in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages, including lost profits, business interruption, or reputational harm.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Marellio against claims, damages, and reasonable attorney's fees arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law — in particular, any claim by a subject of a dossier you generated.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email to the address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts have exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
